Message charges and limited coverage are the bane of most legacy communications systems. FliIM provides plane-to-ground communications using the Iridium Satellite network for complete coverage and reduced cost. By providing text messaging and voice communications with ground based resources such as dispatch and maintenance, FliIM can greatly improve in-flight processes and reduce costs as well.

FliIM’s automated messaging system can send OOOI messages triggered by sensed aircraft conditions, no user action is required for real time OOOI message transmission. Additionally flight crew can send text messages using FliIM’s intuitive, Email like interface. With its large buttons, FliIM’s on-screen keyboard makes composing text messages easy using an EFB’s touch screen. FliIM’s address book limits access to only approved addresses and phone numbers for text and voice communications.

With both text and voice communications provided via ISAT, FliIM can greatly reduce cost traditionally associated with plane-to-ground links.
