Recommended Platforms
Pocket PC Pocket PCs run Windows CE—a compact version of 32-bit Windows. They are more reasonably priced for what you get. Dell has an excellent 300MHz, 32Mbyte, transflective display model for under $250. $100 will boost it to 400MHz with 64Mb of RAM. Compaq/HP, Toshiba, and others all make Pocket PCs. Be sure to look for one with a transflective display. It's the easiest to see in the cockpit. Compatibility: All with ARM or XScale processors	NavAero t•Pad 800 This excellent device is an external tablet display with an 8.9 inch screen. It can be connected to any PC or Laptop with a VGA and USB port. NavAero manufactures it for use with any PC or with their commercial EFBs.	Tablet PC These devices run a version of Windows XP or Vista, possibly modified for Tablet-type machines. They are fully-functional computers with stylus touchscreens, currently 10-12" displays. Processors start at about 800MHz. Hard drives are between 20Gb and 60Gb. We recommend the Toshiba P1630 with a solid state drive.
